The story starts about two years ago. Three close friends, fresh out of high school graduation, have a spiritual epiphany and decide that they must start a band. The only problem was that none of us knew how to play any instruments. We made a pact that we would each learn a different instrument in college so that we could come back and make our dreams come true.
Flash forward two years later. Blake “Blaze” Gaines is an electric guitar maestro, Jason Katz is a home-run hitting lyricist and I, Joey Halegua, play the bass like a wild animal on fire. Add two more members (British Will on electric guitar and Junior the Havana Hammer on drums) to make the band a magnificent pentangular five-some. We are The Mustache Rendezvous.
We just had our first and second in-studio practice sessions last week, which we recorded. Check out some of our raw jam session recordings. Keep in mind they are practices, so they are probably much longer than the final versions and they are full of mistakes and experiments:

I, for one, love the rendezvous. Their unique style and unconditional dedication to the music is truly unsurpassed. Yea, i said it, unsurpassed. I hear they are looking for a bind meniger. Maybe someday i could be blessed enough to work with that handsome bass player, steve zissou the guitarist, that biritish guy, and the weird looking “singer”…but for now, courage.
